Happy Fishing

June 25, 2016

Hello from Paradise Cove,

Lots of happy people on the water enjoying the scenery and wildlife and every once in a while got to reel in another big one. The walleye are mostly in sandy areas or mud bottom areas. The Mayfly hatch is coming soon and lots of walleyes are eating the larva before they hatch. Heard a boat today by Fire island caught every size walleye between 22 in. and 28 inches. Best day of fishing ever he said, right Don. Its all 25 ft. and mud bottom. There is a few on reefs but mud reefs mostly. Muskie opened 18th and lots of action I am hearing from the Musky hunters. Seen some pics of huge Musky caught and released, but its hard to get those pics cause they figure people will figure out there hot areas for Musky. Once the Mayfly hatch is over the walleyes will be heading for minnows on the rock reefs. Here is 2 pics of Sue Polonus with her 22 in and 28 in. walleye while being guided by Corey. The fishing will be better and better as the weeks go on, so take a little time off and come fishing. Have a great fishing season.
